More than 600 church leaders met online in March to explore the Feast of Creation, kept on 1 September or the Sunday after, which has its roots in the Eastern Orthodox calendar. Speakers traced its history back to the tenth century and introduced new resources, including readings for the feast that were added to the Revised Common Lectionary in April 2026.

Among those presenting was Rev. Tony Franklin-Ross of the World Methodist Council, who is also secretary of the National Dialogue for Christian Unity, and prayers from the Pacific Conference of Churches closed the gathering.
