The steering group of the Anglican-Lutheran International Commission on Unity and Mission met at the Anglican Communion offices in London from 4 to 7 March. Members heard how Anglican and Lutheran bishops are working in pairs in countries from Canada to Malaysia and Tanzania, and noted that Canada now has at least 60 joint Anglican-Lutheran congregations.

In their communiqué they said that communion between churches grows over time and takes different shapes in different places. The group also looked ahead to the Lutheran World Federation’s 2030 Assembly in Augsburg.
