The new Anglican-Methodist International Coordinating Committee, hosted by the World Methodist Council, met for the first time in London from 23 to 28 February. It takes over from the earlier Anglican-Methodist International Commission for Unity and Mission.

The committee will map Anglican and Methodist partnerships and agreements of communion around the world, study oversight, ordination and the sacraments, and compare each communion’s dialogue with the Catholic Church. Members visited Methodist Central Hall, Westminster Abbey and Lambeth Palace, and will meet next in February 2027, with a report due in 2029.
