For World Quaker Day on 4 October, the Friends World Committee for Consultation hosted a six-hour online meeting for worship on the theme “Let Peace Be Among Us”, with more than 900 registrations from at least 50 countries. Friends at the Quaker United Nations offices in New York and Geneva opened and closed it with ministry.

Groups joined from historic meeting houses in England, from Ireland and from Dunedin, Friends churches across Africa and the Americas held their own celebrations, and in Burundi a Quaker football team played a friendly match against a Methodist team.
