Thy Kingdom Come, the global prayer movement that runs from Ascension Day to Pentecost, began its 2026 novena on 14 May, and Pope Leo XIV sent its participants a video message of support. He said that Christ remains with the Church through the Holy Spirit, and encouraged Christians to share that good news with confidence.

The movement began in 2016 and now involves more than a million Christians from 85 denominations, who pray between Ascension and Pentecost that more people will come to know Jesus.
