Anglicans in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia joined other churches for the 2026 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, kept here between Ascension and Pentecost, from 17 to 24 May. The liturgy was prepared by the Armenian Apostolic Church with the World Council of Churches and the Vatican, and draws on the Nicene Creed and a twelfth-century Armenian liturgy.

The National Dialogue for Christian Unity planned to pray the liturgy at its meeting that week, led in turn by Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian and Anglican leaders, with songs added in English and te reo Māori.
