The World Communion of Reformed Churches brought formal greetings to the Council of the Lutheran World Federation at its meeting near Geneva in June. Its message celebrated the long life together of Lutheran and Reformed churches, set out a framework of mutual responsibility, and welcomed the federation’s plan to mark the 500th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession in 2030 in an ecumenical spirit.

The Anglican Communion, the Mennonite World Conference, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity and the World Council of Churches also brought greetings.
