During the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Tim Gee, general secretary of the Friends World Committee for Consultation, spoke on BBC Radio’s Daily Service. The talk traced how Quakers came to see themselves not as the only true church but as one part of a wider family of faith, grounded in religious freedom and peace.

It recalled a service in Zurich in 2025 marking 500 years of Anabaptism, where the general secretary of the Mennonite World Conference and representatives of the churches that once persecuted Anabaptists forgave one another and washed one another’s feet.
