The three Primates of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia, Archbishops Don Tamihere, Sione Ulu’ilakepa and Justin Duckworth, took part in the installation of Dame Sarah Mullally as Archbishop of Canterbury in Canterbury Cathedral on the Feast of the Annunciation.

Archbishop Tamihere had hoped the liturgy would reflect the many languages and cultures of the Communion, and said afterwards that joy was its defining note. Archbishop Ulu’ilakepa looked forward to her leadership, and Archbishop Duckworth spoke of her humility.
