Rev. Wendy Scott of St Matthew’s, Masterton, reflected on the nineteenth meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council in Belfast, which the Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally, opened by emphasising the identity Anglicans share as followers of Jesus. Delegates heard stories of reconciliation in Derry.

Fr Martin Browne, the Catholic liaison officer to the Anglican Communion, spoke of growing ties between Catholics and Anglicans and of praying together for unity. Rev. Scott wrote that the three-tikanga life of the church in Aotearoa shows that unity does not require uniformity.
