Pātoromu Church in Whāngārā, dedicated to St Bartholomew, is the first church to be scanned in 3D by He Taonga Tuku Iho, the Anglican histories project. Visitors can move through an online copy of the building and open videos, photographs and music in which local people tell its story over almost a century.

The project lead, Dr Genevieve de Pont, and the researcher Kauri Tangohau produced the scan, with contributions from Tā Derek Lardelli and Rev. Hone Kaiwai, among others.
