Pasifika Communities University launched Na Laca (“The Sails”), its new newsletter, in September. The first edition reports on the university’s part in hosting the Pacific Church Leaders’ Meeting in Suva in April, a visit in March from a University of Otago delegation led by its vice-chancellor, Grant Robertson, to renew the partnership between the two institutions, and its help in setting up a helpline for women in Fiji run by the Methodist Women’s Fellowship.
It also remembers Rev. Dr Iliesa Jovili Meo, who was principal of the Pacific Theological College from 1996 to 2001 and died in June.
