A newly reformatted edition of Te Bibilia Tapu Ra, the Cook Islands Māori Bible, was dedicated at the Pacific Islands Presbyterian Church in Auckland on 28 February. The plates used to print the 1972 edition had worn out, so volunteers from the Cook Islands, New Zealand and Australia retyped and checked the whole text, correcting only printing errors.
The new edition has a larger font, cross-references and the words of Jesus in red. A review committee drawn from several churches guided the work, which was led by Rev. Robert Robati-Mani and the late Marina Robati-Mani.
