The Christian Conference of Asia greets Asia’s Catholic bishops

Rev. Jung Eun Grace Moon, general secretary of the Christian Conference of Asia, brought greetings to the opening of the Twelfth Plenary Assembly of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences in Jakarta on 21 July. The assembly, which meets every four years, ran until 27 July and focused on synodal conversion and building bridges in Asia.
She thanked the bishops for their commitment to synodality and said that Asia’s churches share a calling to witness together to Christ’s love and to work for justice and peace. The two bodies have worked together on ecumenical and theological projects for many years.
