Member churches and councils of the Christian Conference of Asia kept Asia Sunday on 17 May, with the theme “Hope for Redemption of Groaning Creation Amidst Bondage to Decay”. The conference’s staff worshipped with the Wunpawng Christian Church, a Kachin congregation in Chiang Mai, where more than 500 people gathered.
Pastor Henry Bau La Doi preached from Romans 8 and described caring for the earth as a spiritual duty, and the general secretary, Dr Mathews George Chunakara, brought greetings.
